The Everyman Theatre is the earliest surviving auditorium by Frank Matcham. Many of the murals have been painted over, and the original sensational scagliola proscenium arch has been obscured – but it is still there and Hayles & Howe have undertaken initial investigations to reveal the wonderful detail. This is a very important and exciting discovery!
